Four CS faculty were awarded a Pitt Momentum Funds Seedling Grant

The Pitt Momentum Funds issued a Seedling Grant to a collaboration of four faculty from the Department of Computer Science, Drs.

Dr. Malihe Alikhani

Together with collaborators Ajay Divakaran and Karan Sikka of SRI research, Dr. Malihe Alikhani (assistant professor, CS) is working on designing content moderation systems for social media called the Greate Facilitators with the goal of designing agents that will actively moderate social media content to foster positive dialogue and discourage harmful behaviors such as bullying. The proposal has received funding through the Department of Defense Civil Sanctuary program.

Dr. Hyun Jung (H.J.) Park is an assistant professor of human genetics and biostatistics in the Graduate School of Public Health. The Park Lab develops data-science techniques, AI-driven tools, and statistical inference methods to understand large-scale molecular dynamics in physiological and pathological conditions hidden in various biological layers.
