Artificial Intelligence

The AI group’s research encompasses a wide range of technical topics, such as argument and coherence analysis, time series modeling, intelligent control, domain adaptation, multimodal and weakly-supervised learning, with applications in natural language processing, computer vision, AI-supported education, and clinical decision support.

After a year-long search, the Department of Computer Science has hired two new faculty. Jon Misurda, currently a faculty member of the University of Arizona, will join the department in Fall 2022 as a Teaching Assistant Professor. Jon has previously taught at Pitt and received his PhD from our department in 2011.
