Department of Computer Science adds two new faculty

After a year-long search, the Department of Computer Science has hired two new faculty. Jon Misurda, currently a faculty member of the University of Arizona, will join the department in Fall 2022 as a Teaching Assistant Professor. Jon has previously taught at Pitt and received his PhD from our department in 2011. His research interests include systems, software testing, and computer science education. Following her graduation this year from the University of Massachusets, Amherst, Lorraine Li will do one year of post-doctoral studies before joining our department as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2023. Her research focuses on designing probabilistic models and evaluation methods for implicit commonsense knowledge in language. Welcome, Jon and Lorraine to our department!
