Amanda Crawford

Amanda is a Data Engineer at Dropbox, where she supports Dropbox and HelloSign business intelligence and data science data needs. She has worn many hats as a data professional, spanning from building data pipelines to designing data infrastructure and ETL testing. Amanda has worked with education, finance, and marketing data in her experience working with Microsoft, Magic Leap, and BrightHive. In her previous role with Microsoft, her team was responsible for building the data pipelines and infrastructure that computes Microsoft financial revenue data. Amanda discovered her interest in data modeling after taking a data science course at the University of Pittsburgh. Following this newfound interest, she worked as a research assistant to Dr. Labrinidis, where she built a graph that modeled the collaborative relationships among researchers at the University of Pittsburgh. Amanda received her Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and her Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Connecticut College. While serving as a Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh, Amanda partnered with the local community to help bring after-school technology education programming to the local Pittsburgh community. She is passionate about increasing diversity in the technology and data fields.
