Why did you become a UTA? I became a UTA because I want to be a resource for those that are taking the same classes that I've enjoyed taking.

What is the best advice you would give to a student who may need additional support? Don't be afraid to reach out. Between your professors, TAs, and peer tutors, there's always a resource available to you. Asking for help will always help your professors and TAs to understand where you're struggling that way they can get you individual resources or we can provide extra review for the class on that topic. It will also help when grading your assignments if you've talked to us about something that you're struggling on.

What is the best study tip you have for a student taking the course you UTA for? For both CS-0007 (prior course that I TAed) and CMPINF-0401, take time to understand everything that you're typing out when programming, these are building blocks to programming that you will continually see throughout the course and you'll see theses topics in later courses.

Why should students come to your UTA office hours? Come to office hours to get help on assignments that you're struggling on. If you don't understand something, the best thing to do is ask! You'll always benefit from asking for help because it could reveal something that you didn't understand or a way to approach the problem that you hadn't thought of.

What is your favorite thing about the subject you UTA for? I really enjoy UTAing because I've learned a lot in these courses after taking them myself and like to give my knowledge to other students who are taking these courses.
