Why did you become a UTA? I have always loved tutoring/mentoring and becoming a UTA allows me to take that to the next level. In addition, it also allows me to develop my leadership and time-management skills.

What is the best advice you would give to a student who may need additional support? Being comfortable in asking for help from your TA's and professors will help you greatly when you are struggling in a course. Having friends in each of your classes will give additional support and make you less stressed. Also, make sure to use the resources available to you such as peer tutoring and office hours!

What is the best study tip you have for a student taking one of the courses you UTA for? For CMPINF-0010, paying attention to the lectures will help you when completing the written assignments(especially for the synthesis essays). For the lab section, I strongly recommend completing the skills labs during lab time since your UTA can clarify any questions you may have. Make sure to practice your coding skills as well!

Why should students come to your UTA office hours? Receiving help is what office hours are for. Our job is to help students who have any concerns or questions. It's also a good idea to have another person looking at your code when you're struggling with a problem. Having someone who has previously taken the course can give you advice on what the professor is asking for.

What is your favorite thing about the subject you UTA for? Teaching python allows me to understand the language more. I also get to help students solve coding questions which are super fun.
