Timothy James

Timothy James is an instructor at the University of Pittsburgh Computer Science department, as well as an Engineering Manager at Google on the Cloud AI Platform team, where he works with software engineers to build user interfaces for Artificial Intelligence applications.  He is currently in his sixth year of trying to convince Google Pittsburgh to install a llama farm; requests have been escalated to local authorities but the permits have yet to be secured.  Before Google, he spent some time in a variety of industries including Internet consulting, finance, defense contracting, aviation maintenance, telecommunications, capital markets, and sandwich artistry.  Timothy hopes to continue actively engaging the community in technical training and CS education efforts.
