CS student awarded University Honors College Research Fellowship

Zhen Wu, a third year undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science, was recently awarded a University Honors College Research Fellowship! The fellowship supports Pitt students who conduct an independent research project, participate in an interdisciplinary weekly seminar in which Fellows present and discuss their projects, and attend a series of faculty talks, workshops, and panel discussions.

During her fellowship, Wu is studying the effect of combining interactive animations and real-world analogies in teaching Computer System concepts among diverse students under the advisement of Dr. Sherif Khattab. As the first addition, Wu creates an animation tool of a dry-cleaning shop analogy around the buffer overflow concept.
