Max Dudek awarded NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

Max Dudek, a computer science and computational biology major in our Department, was awarded a 2021 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. The prestigious fellowship recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions. The five-year fellowship includes three years of financial support including an annual stipend of $34,000 and a cost of education allowance of $12,000 to the institution. Max is one of 15 students from the University of Pittsburgh that received the NSF award this year.

Max will be joining the Genomics and Computational Biology Ph.D. program at UPenn after graduation.
