About Me

Update! I started working as a software engineer at Facebook since summer 2008. I am pretty happy with my current job and has no plan to find another one now.:-)

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Department of Computer Science, University of Pittsburgh. I am working on user-centric web database management systems with my advisor Dr. Alexandros Labrinidis and also Dr. Panos Chrysanthis. Before coming to the U.S., I spent 5 years that was full of joy and memory at University of Science and Technology of China, and I got my B.S. degree in Computer Science there.

Research

In general, I am working on user-centric web database management systems. Specifically I have been working on several interesting research topics including query processing in large scale distributed systems, user-centric web database management, and recently the cache synchronization and web crawler scheduling problem.
