Information for midterm exam 2

Exam 2 is March 14.

The exam will focus on the material since the last exam:

   What was covered in lecture (slides and on the board) 2/7-3/12.

   Homeworks 2 and 3 
      solution to HW2 was mailed to students
      solution to HW3 will be mailed after they are handed in

   Programming assignment 2
      solution will be posted on the schedule Friday 3/2.  (The
      solution to question 3 is already there.)

   Quizzes 4 and 5

   In-class exercises on the schedule


You do not need to know the first two multiplication algorithms
(slides 13-14 in Chapter 2 Part 2 slides).

Make sure you understand and can trace through all of the code from
lectures and the solutions to the programming assignments, including
the answers to the "self-study" questions.  

Also, make sure you can give the machine code for a given assembly
language instruction.

The exam will be a mixture of assembly language and the other topics
we covered.
