How to map your AFS share to a drive letter using AFS Client:

1) Double click the icon for the AFS client in the task bar. It's the one circled in red in this picture:

If the icon is not on the task bar you can find it here.   Start / All Programs / Open AFS / Client / Authentication

2) It should bring up a window that looks like this:

3) Now, click on the Drive Letters tab. Click on the Add button:

4) Fill it in in the fashion I have (substituting your pitt username for mine, for example, if you were jeb15, you would have \afs\pitt.edu\home\j\e\jeb15.
If you want you can append \private or \public to avoid seeing every folder (including some hidden ones).

5) Hit Ok, then minimize the window and look on my computer for the drive. (You have to hide and show the window for it to update it.)

6) Click on the Tokens tab and it should return to the original window, then click on the Obtain New Tokens tab.

7) Here is where you will fill in your Pitt username and password (Just like in the regular labs.)
MAKE SURE the AFS Cell says pitt.edu, not cs.pitt.edu.

8) Hit Ok, and you should be returned to the form, but now it looks something like this:

And you'll notice the lock no longer has an X on it! You've done it! Now you can browse it like a regular drive.
