Software Installations and Upgrades

(From the blogs of the software TA) Spending nights over it :))

During the week of Oct 01 - Oct 08, the following upgrades/installations were undertaken:

The directory for installation was /usr/local/contrib/python

The latest version of Python (2.3.4) was installed on the linux machines (python tutorial).
