TNEF is Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format, a Microsoft format for encapsulating attachments in email. Such attachments have Content-Type: application/ms-tnef and usually the name "winmail.dat". A single TNEF attachment may contain several files, but oftentimes it contains only RTF (Rich Text Format) formatting and highlighting enhancements to the text portion of the message.
These kind of files can be opened using the tnef program, now
available on the elements machines as well as blitz.
Enjoy !!!
