"WARNING: tango contains highly addictive ingredients, such as pain,
pleasure, passion, excitement, connection, freedom, torment, and bliss.
In seven out of ten cases it takes over a person's life." -- Naomi Hotta

It was
Fall 2007, when I was first introduced to Argentine Tango.
Since then, I've been dancing tango very regularly. Beside dancing it,
I also teach tango at Panther Tango Club, organize tango events and sometimes DJ at tango dance parties (aka milongas).
Teaching Tango
Panther Tango Club (PTC) is a student club at University of Pittsburgh
dedicated to promoting Argentine Tango. Since Fall 2010, I have
been the club's president as well as its instructor. We have regular
weekly lessons followed by a guided practice. It's very easy to join
our club: you just need to subscribe to our PTC mailing list and stay tuned!

Tango DJ'ing
Well, it's another aspect of the fun; however, it by no means is a
random selection of tango songs! It's both art and science. Tango
dancers are generally very sensitive to the music played at tango
events which makes your job as a DJ quite difficult. A good DJ respects
the standard song orderings and at the same time maintains the energy
and the flow on the dance floor. You may find some very useful tips
about tango DJ'ing here.
