John C. Ramirez

Dr. Ramirez received his B.S. in Mathematics and Biochemistry from Duquesne University in 1986. He received his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989, and completed his Ph.D., also in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, in 1995. His research interests include parallel processing and fault-tolerance in parallel systems. Dr. Ramirez is the Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Computer Science Department, and is also a computer science liaison for the University of Pittsburgh's College in High School Program.
