- Projects to revitalize the Garfield neighborhood in Pittsburgh, one of the poorer in Pittsburgh
- September 27, 2008: Worked to create a community garden in Garfield
- March 7, 2009: Worked to create a community garden in Garfield
- April 4, 2009: Helped renovate part of a house for disadvantaged families trying to rebuild their lives
- October 3, 2009: Began work on a second community garden in Garfield
Sojourner House MOMS
- Provides housing and services for homeless, single women struggling with addiction, and their dependent children.
- May 16, 2009: Helped build a sandbox, then did some landscape work (MOMS Green)
- October 24, 2009: Planted plants and tires to prevent erosion
