CS 2520/TELCOM 2321

Welcome to CS 2520!

(3/9/09) Slightly revised the second lab: the receiver sets only the ECN-Echo bit and does not relay the ECN-CE bit itself when it notifies the source of the congestion.

(2/25/09) The second lab assignment is out. Slightly revised on 3/9/09.

(2/7/09) Ignore the packet socket part in lab #1. You should be able to send and receive packets with a single raw socket.

(2/3/09) Updated slides for Lecture 4.

(2/3/09) Problem 2 in assignment #3, assume a "connection" can be established on the same port (a->a). Also, note that the input and output ports are distinct (a->b and b->a are different).

(1/17/09) Assignment 2, 3-(a): Ignore the sentence "You may assume...". Instead, find the smallest MaxSeqNum such that the receiver won't receive DATA[0] in the previous incarnation of the frames while the receiver actually expects DATA[MaxSeqNum+1]. We defined MaxSeqNum to be the largest possible sequence number. Please ignore the definition of MaxSeqNum in the textbook.

(1/15/09) If possible, please use a word processor(/Latex) to write up your homework solutions.

(1/15/09) Lecture slides updated - fixed an error on slide 23.

(1/5/2009) Please send me your picture URL (with a short introduction about you - your name, department, etc.)
