I've taken the opportunity to fix a couple annoyances in PocketPutty. It now:- pops up the SIP on the connect dialog
- the whole dialog fits above the SIP
- the terminal window resizes to accomidate the SIP when activated
- New! You can now select the font size.
I will work more on it when I get some free time. I'd really like to incorporate horizontal scrolling.
This code is based on the 0.1 beta, which was the more stable version, but does not work on PPC2002. I've only tested this on my x50v WM5. Please have a fresh backup before trying this program.
Download the executable from:
http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc/PocketPuTTY.exe
Leave comments about the experience (Firefox users may have trouble for some unknown reason, if it fails, use the Contact Me link on the right)
EDIT: The latest version is now 0.02 (in the about box) and is available at the same link.

I've uploaded a new version of RadarWatch to the website. I haven't updated the webpages yet, but I have fixed the source of the images so they should work now.Let me know if there are any lingering problems.
I have started to add the framework for the new images too, I'll try to incorporate them in my next release, whenever that is.
Download by following the link on the right ->

It seems the NWS has changed the source of their images to download and RadarWatch might not be working for the last week. Anyone else notice this?(P.S. I'm not dead, just busy.)

I am sorry for the total lack of updates in a while. Life has gotten busy^2 this month. I hope next month I can make progress on something.
Things still on my agenda (but on the backburner):
-Keep trying to fix the keyboard problem for SearchToday
-do the VGA update for GSPlayer 2.24
-Release a beta version of my AstronToday plugin
Thanks for your patience, I just need to take a break before I can get to all this.

Many people are being linked straight to these blog entries, but I have created a variety of other software applications that can be found at http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc/By bypassing that page, you also miss my suggestion:
If you appreciate these programs and would like to send a donation, I'd suggest sending it to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. You can donate online here: https://www.cff.org/ways_to_give/DonationForm/
Thanks.

I'm going to be picking up working on SearchToday some more soon, and as I've discovered from all your wonderful feedback is that I need to have access to many more devices than just my x50v.I'm now accepting applications for about a dozen Beta testers. What I'd like is to have a variety of people, especially those who have encountered a problem with the existing version (i.e. people with non-English devices and devices with a built-in keyboard.)
The only requirements are: you have a pocketpc, you are willing to hard-reset in the unfortunate event it doesn't work for some reason, and you can respond fairly quickly when test builds go out.
If you'd like to apply, send me a message through the "contact" link on the right side with your device type, what problem you're experiencing, and an email address to reach you by.

Wow, I've gotten linked from somewhere particularly popular. But I don't know where. I'm always interested in where people hear about my programs, so feel free to leave a note stating where you were linked from.I'm on a bit of a break at the moment while I try to get my new semester rolling. I'm definitely reading what you guys post, but give me some time before I respond or before you see your suggestions implemented.
Some general notes:
* I hate themed/skinned applications. However if you have artistic talent and would like to contribute an icon or something, send me an email through the contact link on the right and we can talk.
* That being said, notice that the colors of the text and the textbox on SearchToday are customizable through the menu. Set it to whatever works best for you and your today theme.
So welcome everyone, and try out some of my other applications!

I see GSPlayer 2.23 is up with a new WM5 version. I've downloaded the source and made all the VGA changes I believe. I'm doing a few days of internal testing, then I will unleash it upon the New Year.Jon
