Biography

 

I was born and raised in Damascus which is considered one of the oldest cities in the world. I joined the CS department @ Pitt in 2006 after receiving my degree from Damascus University as a Software Engineer. I'm now in my second year.

 

 

 


Research Interests

·        Data Mining and Machine Learning: Time series mining, Feature selection/extraction for high dimensional data, classification.

·        Decision making for biomedical data.

·        Information Retrieval and text mining.

·        Advanced Database applications: Indexing and querying spatial, temporal and XML databases.
