Hello, and welcome to my website. I am currently in my fifth year as a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. I received my dual masters degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics in April 2002. I'm continuing on in the Computer Science department and I am aiming towards getting my Ph.D. I am, as they say, ABD.

My particular area of interest is Artificial Intelligence. I'm interested in most aspects of this sub-domain of Computer Science (for some reason, robots do not thrill me). At the moment and for the future, I'm working in machine learning (data mining, if you want the current buzzword).

As you can see, my style tends towards simple and clean ... much like my preferred solutions to problems. I'm not above being practical, however. Such a simple design saves you time in downloading this page and prevents others from needless wasted bandwidth! You might also appreciate the (mostly) VT100/101 green on black text. If you don't remember what I'm talking about, please don't tell me. I'm starting to feel old, as is.

If you are wondering about my career goals, my ideal lifestyle would be holding a professorship at a small liberal arts college where the faculty have a high degree of interaction with their students (and supervise undergraduate research) ... much like at my undergraduate alma mater, Allegheny College.
