Chronobot Virtual Classroom (CVC) System

Option 1: Standalone Executable Files (For users who do not have permission to install new software on computers, e.g. in labs, library and so on)

• Student Tool & Chronobot Cute Client: Click Here to download a zip file of the tools. It includes two executable files:

cvcStudentTool.exe and cvcChronobot.exe.

•  Teacher Tool (for testing only):Click Here to download a zip file of the tools. It includes two executable files:

cvcTeacherTool.exe and cvcInfoCenter.exe

All tools work on MS windows 9X/2000/XP. Please save them to disk. Make  shortcuts on desktop if you like.

Option 2: Installable Version:

•  Student Tool: Click here to download a zip file. It includes an installation file:

cvcStudentAll.exe

Run it, and follow the instructions. It will install the student suite including communication tool, chronobot cute client, configuration tool, and live update. 

• Teacher Tool : Click here to download a zip file. It includes an installation file:

cvcTeacherAll.exe

Run it, and follow the instructions. It will install the teacher suite including communication tool, information center, configuration tool, and live update. 

[Startup]

Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet before you execute the files.

• Virtual Classroom:  Please run cvcStudentTool.exe. Once it starts, you will be asked to input your first name, last name and password. Your password is the one you provided during the online registration.

• Chronobot: Please run cvcChronobot.exe. Once it starts, you will be asked to input your username and password. Your username is your last name +first letter of your first name. The password is  the same as above. 

For example:

First Name                    Last Name    

james                            bond               

The username is 'bondj'.

Attention: Please use the name which you registered online. All names should be in lower case.

Troubleshooting: If you have trouble to log in, getting message as "authentication failed" (probably because your name does not appear on the roster we have), please send an email to chang@cs.pitt.edu (including your name and registered course)
