Homework

Your TOY Website

Create and publish your TOY website using all the techniques you'ave learned from this course including the following:

*basic xhtml template
*incorporate the following tags - p(with the align attribute), div, h1-h6, br, hr, meta
*DON’T FORGET THE TITLE!
*include background color(hex code only!)
*include at least three different font colors(hex codes only!) and two different font styles
*include at least your name in xhtml comments
*include CSS style sheet
*create a directory on your Pitt unix account in the "public/html" directories called "cs134"
*publish the site called "hw1.html" to your "cs134" directory and email me (chang@cs.pitt.edu) the URL. Please put "CS134 HW" in subject line
*present your website in class

You should design and create your own unique TOY website. Extensively copying someone else's website, if discovered by the instructor, would result in a ZERO for the homework!

The following are the guidelines for grading your homework:

To understand how your homework is graded, notice after the homework grade there are some letters, for example: "8.5 ocm". The letters individually have the following meanings:

    p published
    b basic techniques
    t style sheet
    f format
    j javascript
    o originality
    s size
    r richness
    c color
    m mobile
    - ------
    v vision statement
    d demo
If you see lower-case letters, it means a deduction of 0.5 point in that category. If you see upper-case letters, it means a deduction of 1 points in that category. Therefore, "8.5 ocm" means the homework earns 8.5 points, with deduction of 0.5 point each in the three categories of originality, color and mobile accessibility.
