About WiCS

The goal of Women in Computer Science (WiCS) is to increase the participation of women in the field of Computer Science. WiCS currently includes undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, and faculty women in the department of Computer Science at Pitt.

WiCS organizes social events for women in the department to meet and get to know each other. Some of these events include invited guests such as women from industry and academia.

The WiCS coordinators keep track of the Pitt women in Computer Science (i.e., maintain the wics mailing list). They maintain this website. They organize social and tech events and they liaison with other women-interest groups. They keep track of and advertise WiCS scholarship opportunities.
