About Us
The CS Web Team is a group of students that maintain the department's web pages. These students are learning a variety of web skills, including HTML, CGI and Perl scripting, database management (using Oracle 8i), and more. The CS Web Team was formed in Fall 2000 to continually update the department's web pages with the latest news and information for both external visitors and the internal Pitt CS community. We welcome your comments and suggestions about the web site. We are also interested in hearing from CS and CoE students who might like to join the CS Web Team. Send e-mail to the webmaster with your thoughts and comments.

Future Updates
Current projects for the web team include updating our research projects pages. Erich Oelschlegel will be heading this project through the semester.
In addition, he will also be converting old content pages over to a brand-new look and feel, sporting valid XHTML 1.1 and CSS2, with content entirely separate from design, aiding to the ease of future updates. The transition from the old tables-driven site to a standards-complaint design will be visible throughout much of the summer.
