University of Pittsburgh University Center for Social & Urban Research (UCSUR) http://www.ucsur.pitt.edu Database Programmer Systems/Programmer III: Regular, Full-Time Hiring Range: $30,780.00 - $47,772.00 ------------------------------------------------------ The University Center for Social & Urban Research (UCSUR) is looking for a full-time database programmer to assist our staff in the areas of web database programming, database management, and data analysis. We are looking for a dedicated and responsible individual who has functional skills that they are willing to share and apply in a very interesting and cooperative research environment. This position will be working with the Qualitative Data Analysis Program (QDAP) and Survey Research (SRP) programs within our center, UCSUR. For QDAP this person will primarily be working on an in-house developed web-based Coding Analysis Toolkit (CAT) that facilitates efficient and effective analysis of text datasets. The CAT system was initially developed by a a Carnegie Mellon University programmer who will stay on-board as a mentor and guide for the person who fills this position. For SRP this person will be working on custom-designed web-based surveys, web-based data collection forms, and on-line training systems. This is a full-time University of Pittsburgh staff position offering generous educational benefits.
