The purpose of this position is to develop and maintain an equipment inventory database that will increase inventory accuracy and provide location and availability of equipment. Position Responsibilities: • Work closely with Field Shop Director and IT Department to implement proper inventory tracking procedures and establish an equipment database. • Plan and coordinate equipment scanning activities. • Create and maintain equipment database. • Control equipment inventory by utilizing all NEP databases. • Ensure compliance with established internal inventory control procedures. • Check and test inventory tracking hardware (computers, scanners, etc.) with the assistance of the IT Department. • Interface with multiple departments within NEP and provide a professional level of support when needed. • Maintain a high level of teamwork within the Engineering and Operations Departments in order to provide the highest level of customer service. • Assist in maintaining an organized and clean field shop. • Assist in other Field Shop/IT Department activities as needed. Qualifications: • A Technical Degree is preferred; however various combinations of education and experience will be considered. • 2+ years experience with asset management and inventory control. • Proficient in Microsoft operating systems and database applications. • Excellent organization and communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. • Ability to be a self starter and initiate projects. • Must be able to work individually as well as in a team environment. • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
