CS 1566: Introduction to Computer Graphics

Description
The basic concepts, tools and techniques of computer graphics are described, and the fundamental transformations of scaling, translation, rotation, windowing and clipping are presented. Particular emphasis will be placed on new developments in microcomputer graphics. Students will be expected to develop a graphics application in C in conjunction with a specially developed graphics library.
Prerequisites
CS 0445, CS 0447, and Math 0280.
Requirements and Grading
About five programming assignments (using locally available graphics systems), possibly some written homework assignments, and examinations.
Recitation: None.
Expected class size: 30 students.
Frequency: This course is usually offered once a year.
