INTRODUCTORY

This is my online portfolio dedicated to my experience I had at TLI. On this web page is:
  • autobiography
  • resume
  • overview and reflections

  • My portfolio is something I have worked extremely hard on to complete and displays the various computing tequniques I have learned this summer.

    My maiden name is BRIONA C.. My special day is June 10 {GEMENI}. I am 15 years old and still growing. This fall I will officially be a sophmore at Penn Hills High School, but from the looks of things I think my education has a long time until completed. I enjoy learning new things and always stacking up to make myself better than the next. People say I'm a drama queen so I think they should agree when I state now how

    an actress I will be;I want to be famous in whatever field I may choose. Otherwise I want to attend the University of Southern California or Penn State and be a computer software engineer and part-time web designer. I will apply my computing skills to entertainment period! On a lighter note my personality is very open minded, funny, random, (goofy) hyper, witty, and sarcastic, wild[&]crazy. For the most part I am a very accepting and tolerable person when I'm out of my comfort zone; I just don't like when people upset me. I love meeting new people who are different than me and can show me new things about life.

    GENERAL INTERESTS:

    -->T. L. I.<--
    I signed up for Technology Leadership Institute voluntarily because I would not have minded trading my my lazy summer hours for something more productive. One of the similarities the program had with school I did not like was the social scene. Students were being cliquey and immature and often times harshly judgemental. I was glad that everyone tried their best to portray nice people and display respectful traits and show their nice sides. Believe it or not..I like "something" in everyone. I really liked the small learning enviornment because if I was struggling I could be helped by an instructor one-on-one. It was such a relief that my teachers were laid back, down to earth, and younger because they understood more personal problems. The teachers were making it more interesting to learn and were current. In the four classes that I took I was completely comforatable asking for help and felt less pressured if I didnt know somethings. The TLI experience will help me in the future because it was a great learning foundation. In each class was taught the fundamentals and basics of the subject and I got to test the waters of various computer science fields. Even though on the regular I hate lectures, I was extremely relived that the lunch-time seminars were interesting. They were more than just boring words, but intense satisfying Q & A sesions that were directed toward only what was essential to us RIGHT NOW--nothing extra. The couple college presentations answered almost all of my held in questions about college. The powerpoint presentations on "Dress For Success" and being "proactive" were even slightly entertaining yet highly useful to me. In closing I'm really glad I signed up for this program and it turned out to be so much more than I thought it would be and I actually do feel smarter and more aware of what's to be coming for me in my life and even a little more ahead for my tenth grade year. I give a HUGE thank-you to EVERY t.a. and instructor and espcially Ms. Tonya.
