Deadline

Saturday, May 10, 2008 (postmark/submission date for ALL materials)

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until May 10, 2008 or until all seats are filled. It is to the students best interest to apply early.

Decision Notification

Notification letters will be sent on or before May 25, 2008. Notification is in the form of a letter sent to the student's home address, as well as an email. The Technology Leadership Initiative is unable to provide individual assessments or appeals to applicant decisions.

All Applicants Must Submit

Application Procedures for NEW students

  1. download the paper version of the application(PDF)
  2. complete the online application with a parent or guardian
  3. have a computer, science or math teacher and another adult complete a recommendation form (PDF)
  4. obtain most recent, official transcript from your school
  5. obtain test scores, if taken from your school
  6. mail required materials to complete your application (see address on right side of page)

    *applications will not be reviewed until all materials are received. incomplete applications will not be processed.

Application Procedures for RETURNING students

  1. complete the student update form (will be available online, shortly)
  2. mail a $35 refundable deposit (check, money order) by May 10, 2008

Essay Question

Write an autobiographical essay (600 – 800 words). Address the following items in your essay:

  1. Tell us about yourself
  2. Activities in your school, at church, at home, and in the community.
  3. Your interests, hobbies, and future goals.
  4. Why are you a good candidate for this program?
  5. Do you have any Computing experience (such as, Programming, Robotics, Web Design)? If so, please describe your experience and examples of what you can do. For example, “I took a web design class at school and created a home page with tables, graphics, lists and inserted a you tube video clip.”
