Our New Home
In April of 2000, construction started on Sennott Square at the
University of Pittsburgh. After two years of work (check
out our pictorial timeline), the project is complete. This $35
million building houses Pitt's Department of Computer Science on
the 5th and 6th floors. The building is equipped with state of the
art facilities and holds both graduate and undergraduate offices,
faculty offices, and teaching and research laboratories.
The pictures provided below capture only a glimpse of what's available.
We are very excited about the new building and the opportunities
it will offer for fostering and continuing interaction among faculty,
undergraduate and graduate students, and industry partners. Come
join us and play a part in this new phase of the CS department's
30+ year history.
The two year construction of this building can be viewed in a pictorial
timeline as seen through the camera lens of Bob
Hoffman.
