Post-doctoral Position

One post-doctoral position in statistical machine learning and its application in medicine.

We seek applications to fill one post-doctoral researcher position in the area of statistical machine learning and its application in medicine. The selected applicant will join our interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative machine-learning methods for analyzing data that are collected at the bedside and recorded in electronic health records. The team consists of researchers from the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Critical Care, the Department of Biomedical Informatics, and the School of Pharmacy, University of Pittsburgh.

The applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. The applicants should also have extensive experience in the development and application of machine learning methods in analysis and prediction that involve high-dimensional, time-series datasets. Exposure to and knowledge of outlier detection and active learning methods is a plus.
