Dr. Alexandros Labrinidis joined the Department of Computer Science in September of 2002. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2002.

His research interests are in the area of the Database Systems, with particular emphasis on user-centric data management for network-centric applications.

Dr. Labrinidis is currently the Editor-in-Chief of ACM SIGMOD Record; he has also served as Information Director for SIGMOD from 2004 to 2006.
