10th Annual Computer Science Day
2009-2010 CS Day Awards
The 10th Annual Computer Science Day was a great success!! Everyone enjoyed all the activities throughout the day and into the evening.
Each year during CS Day, multiple awards are presented.
Graduate research and undergraduate projects are presented in posters. Prizes for the 2010 Poster Competition were sponsored by the Computer Science Department. The list of 2009-2010 award recipients are:
- Best Graduate Student Poster - Santiago Bock
- Runner-Up Graduate Student Poster - Md. Abedul Haque
- Best Undergraduate Student Poster - Joanna Drummond
- People's Choice Student Poster - Yann G. LeGall
Graduate and undergraduate students could submit an entry for the Second Annual Business Plan Competition. The 2010 competition was sponsored by CEI. The 2009-2010 award recipient is:
- Business Plan Award - Md. Abedul Haque and Adam M. Smith
Students, faculty and staff show video and graphic clips of life in Computer Science for the 2010 Digital Media Award; The 2009-2010 competition award had two winning entries:
- Digital Media Award - two winning entries
- Terence Sperringer, Luke Weng, Daniel Oliphant, Yann LeGall, and Stephen Kao and
- P.J. Dillon and Lory Al-Moakar
Graduate students compete for the honor of the Best Research Award; the 2010 competition was sponsored by Compunetix. The 2009-2010 Research Competition Award recipients are:
- Graduate Student Research Award - Shenoda Guirguis
- Runner-Up Graduate Student Research Award - Iyad Batal
