Computer Science Day is where educators, students, alumni and industry gather for a day of computering science, computing business and computing fun. The activities and events of this day include:
CS Bowl
Teams of high school and college students face off in a Jeopardy!-style competition. Prizes will be awarded!
Marketplace
Local and international high-tech firms share information about career opportunities.

Research Competition
Graduate students compete for the honor of the best research award; the 2006 competition is sponsored by Compunetix.
Poster Competitions
Graduate research and undergraduate projects are presented in posters, competing for multiple awards.
Debate: Digital Media - To Share or Not to Share?
Should lawsuits against individual P2P users be sharply curtailed?
This is the question we will explore in this timely debate co-organized with the William Pitt Debating Union.
Arguing on the affirmitive side will be Charles Lee Mudd Jr, Esq., coordinator of the first annual P2P Litigation Summit; and Tony DiMattio, University of Pittsburgh junior debater.
Arguing on the negative side will be Geoffrey L. Beauchamp, Esq., Philadelphia area counsel for the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA); and Melina Forte University of Pittsburgh junior debater.
Research Demos
Graduate and Undergraduate students demonstrate cutting-edge projects.
Scavenger Hunt
All are encouraged to participate in a scavenger hunt that will be integrated with the Marketplace and Poster Competitions. The grand prize will be a video iPod, donated by the Industry Advisory Board.
